At the age of twelve, John Park was your typical kid who loved to goof around but never imagined performing for a living. One afternoon at his local library, he came across a colorful book about juggling. The pictures of spinning balls and flying clubs caught his eye, and before he knew it, he had checked it out and started practicing in his backyard. What began as a few clumsy tosses soon turned into hours of fascination—the book had sparked something special.
That library book became John’s first teacher. It showed him how to start small, practice patience, and keep trying even when things kept dropping. Each chapter introduced a new challenge, and each success built his confidence. Before long, he could juggle three balls, then four, and eventually much more. His family and friends started asking to see his “library tricks,” and John realized he was learning more than just juggling—he was discovering creativity, perseverance, and fun in learning.
Today, Juggler John Park travels across the country performing for audiences of all ages, but he never forgets where it started—with one amazing book in a library. His show, How a Book Changed My Life, brings that story full circle. Through comedy, audience participation, and of course, incredible juggling, John shares the excitement of reading and discovery, reminding kids that one book really can open up a world of possibilities.
